Villa Healthcare’s new 70,000-square-foot headquarters in Lincolnwood, Illinois, is a striking transformation of a former furniture store into a modern and highly functional workplace environment. Having previously designed Villa’s former headquarters, our team was already familiar with their needs, workflows, and culture. With this new space—over three times the size of their previous office—our focus was on delivering a workplace that enhances collaboration, efficiency, and employee well-being.

Villa Healthcare needed a workspace that could support its growing team while maintaining a comfortable and productive atmosphere. Given the scale of the new headquarters, our planning focused on optimizing the layout to promote efficiency, connectivity, and flexibility. Key departments were strategically positioned to balance collaboration with privacy, ensuring a seamless workflow throughout the office.
Transforming a large retail space into a functional corporate interior required careful spatial planning. We incorporated open work areas, private executive offices, a welcoming lobby, breakout lounge spaces, and a fully equipped gym to enhance workplace experience and employee wellness. The result is an office that supports both teamwork and focused work, offering a comfortable and engaging environment.

The exposed brick—a standout feature of the original building—adds warmth and texture, providing a sense of authenticity to the space. To complement this, we introduced modern finishes in a warm, inviting palette, punctuated with vibrant accents that bring energy and contrast to the interiors.
The layout fosters a dynamic and comfortable workplace, with open office areas designed to encourage collaboration and communal spaces that enhance the employee experience.
